2024 Taster Sessions

 If you'd  like to come along to one of our Tuesday evening Taster Sessions, please book your place and complete a consent form. Places are limited and subject to availability (max 12 people). The cost of session is £30. This fee is non-refundable and non-transferable unless the sailing session is cancelled by the club.

​Please note that we do not operate a waiting list, as we do not have the capacity to do so as a entirely volunteer run club.

Consent Form

You must complete a consent form before you come sailing as a non member. You will not be able to sail if you do not complete the form. 
Members must fill the consent form annually. 

Full Membership

Annual membership is £165 (£115 for those between 18 and 24 or over 65).  
You must meet the following criteria to join the Shadwell Sailing Club.
Membership Requirements:
  • You must have a RYA Level 2 Dinghy sailing qualification OR similar sailing experience in tidal waters.
  • ​Members must attend the maintenance weekends between October, February, and March. 
  • ​Members must be part of member duty rota: duties include but not limited to helming (and taking non-members on board on taster days), safety boat driver, rib crew, beach master etc.

Temporary Membership

​Temporary Membership is available for previous members who want to join a single session on a one off basis.
You have:
1) Been a Member of the Shadwell Sailing Club before.
2) a RYA Dinghy Level 3 or above, or equivalent sailing experience.
